Rachel Morris is the Director of Community Relations. She is responsible for economic development, community engagement, and communications for the Town of Knightdale.
Morris has over 23 years of experience in the nonprofit and for-profit industries, with expertise in community outreach, branding, strategic leadership, and partnership development.
Morris's experience includes serving as an executive director for a global non-profit organization, where she managed the international operation of the organization’s headquarters, community and program development, and managed legal issues throughout the United States, Canada, Bermuda, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Germany, and Korea.
Morris holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Saint Augustine’s University and a master’s degree in business administration from Strayer University. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Government’s Municipal Administration Program and a graduate of the Leadership U for Humanity with the Korn Ferry Foundation.
Morris is the first Black individual and person of color to fill a director-level position for the Town of Knightdale.
