Lyn Bell was active in the Knightdale community. Mr. Bell was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He loved Knightdale and was very proud of his service in the Navy. Mr. Bell enlisted in the Navy after graduating high school and served for 4 years and 3 days out of San Diego on the USS Bennington. He then went on to earn a master’s degree in education and became a High School English teacher in Van Wert County, Ohio. After retirement, Lyn and Irene, moved to Knightdale. When Lyn wasn't on the River Ridge Golf course, he was spending time with his family. Lyn was a loving husband of 61 years to Irene, father to Faith, Cami and Ash, grandfather to Justin, Paige, Molly, Hannah, Noah and JC and great-grandfather to Asher and Ezekiel Samuel. At the age of 82, he was diagnosed with ALS and passed 8 months later. He was loved and is missed by all.
