April 4, 2023 -- The Town of Knightdale celebrated the grand opening of Rewind Retrobar with a successful ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new Knightdale business is located at 319 N First Avenue.
"The opening of Rewind Retrobar is a sign of Knightdale's economic strength and growth. As the population continues to increase, having a diverse range of businesses for citizens to support is important for the town's development," said Rachel Morris, Community Relations Director.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening of the newest business on First Avenue, which will take you on the most exciting adventure down memory lane. The adventure will include nostalgic vibes with a fantastically crafted and fun-themed drink menu. The location will allow for a night out to socialize, play retro games, watch nostalgia shows and movies, and listen to great music.
Mayor Jessica Day, Councilor Mark Swan, and Councilor Latatious Morris were in attendance along with other local business owners, customers, and partners.
"We love Knightdale and have enjoyed watching it grow over the years. We wanted to provide another option for residents to relive their favorites from childhood, alongside delicious drinks," said Jessica Caswell, owner of Rewind Retrobar. "Nostalgia is calling and we must answer. As ambassadors of reliving your favorites and bringing back your childlike wonder, we aim to provide a welcoming environment for every person at Rewind Retrobar. Rewind is a place for people to get together and feel a sense of community."
At the celebration, guests were given a tour of the location. They also had the opportunity to meet the team at Rewind Retrobar and learn more about upcoming events and the products available. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was followed by an evening of drinks, food, and networking opportunities.
