Mayor Jessica Day, along with Mayor Pro Tem Ben McDonald and Town Manager Bill Summers, joined community organizations (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., and Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc.), in welcoming Knightdale High School students back to school.
Mayor Jessica Day enthusiastically participated in a "Clap-In” showing unwavering support for local education and fostering a sense of community pride as students returned to classrooms for the new academic year.
"I'm honored to be part of this wonderful event that symbolizes the start of a new chapter in the lives of our students," Mayor Day stated. "Education is the cornerstone of progress and growth, and I am dedicated to supporting our schools, teachers, and students every step of the way."
This event also provided an opportunity for students to interact with Mayor Day. The Mayor's genuine interest in connecting with the younger generation further solidified her commitment to building a brighter future for Knightdale.
