Oliver Wesley Parrish, Sr. was born on January 2, 1931 and lived his entire life in eastern North Carolina. He married his childhood sweetheart, Barbara Ann Lewis in 1951 and enjoyed 69 years of marriage until his Death on September 25, 2020. Together they raised a son and daughter and were blessed with one granddaughter.
Oliver was drafted into the U.S. Army on March 27, 1951 and served during the Korean War until April 4, 1953. Oliver was the business owner of Parrish Hardware for many years and loved serving the Knightdale community until his retirement.
